Amtrak is the US national passenger rail operator, running the Northeast Corridor and long-distance routes nationwide. Tickets usually code as travel or transit and earn on cards that bonus either, so a card counting trains as travel works best. Amtrak also offers its own Guest Rewards co-brand card for riders who travel the rails frequently.
