The annual Category 1 through 4 free night award is the whole argument for this card, and one night at a qualifying Hyatt each year against a $95 annual fee is a trade that works even if you barely touch the card otherwise. Automatic Discoverist status and 5 qualifying night credits toward the next tier come with it, and a second Category 1 through 4 free night is available after $15,000 of spending in a cardmember year. The welcome offer was recently trimmed from 75,000 points back to 60,000, structured as 30,000 after $3,000 in three months plus up to 30,000 more from doubled earning on the first $15,000 spent within six months, so the back half asks for real volume. Day to day the earning is thin outside the brand: 4 points per dollar at Hyatt hotels, 2x on dining, airfare booked directly with the airline, transit and gym memberships, and 1x on everything else. Hold it for the free night and the status, and put your non-Hyatt spending on something stronger.
