The Prime Visa is one of the best no annual fee cash back cards if you are already paying for Prime: 5% back at Amazon, Whole Foods, and Shopbop, plus 5% on Chase Travel bookings, both of which drop to 3% without an eligible Prime membership. It fills in the rest reasonably well with 2% on dining, gas, and transit including rideshare, and 1% on everything else, and there is no foreign transaction fee. Chase also loads a $150 Amazon gift card on approval with no spending requirement, though be aware that offer briefly rose to $200 in June before falling back to $150 in July, so it is worth checking whether a better window has returned. The travel protections are more than a store card usually carries, including baggage delay and lost luggage coverage and purchase protection up to $500 per item. Its ranking at number 10 on our Best Cash Back Credit Cards list reflects the math: strong if Amazon is a real line item in your budget, unremarkable if it is not.
