Discover it Miles Card Moving to Capital One App and Website

Starting **July 27, 2026**, Discover it Miles Card holders will manage their accounts through Capital One's app and website instead of Discover's platform. Cardholders will retain their rewards structure and no annual fee, and will gain access to Capital One's Offers, Travel, and Entertainment features.

Select Capital One Quicksilver Cards Move from Mastercard to Discover, Add 3% Grocery and Gas Category

Capital One is migrating select Quicksilver and QuicksilverOne cardholders from Mastercard to the Discover network, with new cards mailed in May 2026. Notified cardholders also gain a new 3% cash-back category on grocery stores and gas stations, on top of the existing 5% on hotels, rental cars, and vacation rentals booked through Capital One Travel and 1.5% on all other purchases. The change applies only to cardholders who received direct notification from Capital One; others remain on Mastercard with the standard earning structure.

Capital One Replaces Spark Miles With Venture Business, 150,000-Mile Bonus

Capital One rebranded the Spark Miles for Business to the Venture Business card on April 14, 2026, and renamed the Spark Miles Select to VentureOne Business. The Venture Business launches with a 150,000-mile welcome bonus (75,000 after $7,500 in 3 months, plus 75,000 after $30,000 in 6 months), a $95 annual fee, and two new statement credits.

Amex Reduces Cathay Pacific Transfer Ratio from 1:1 to 5:4 Effective March 1

American Express is reducing the transfer ratio to Cathay Pacific from 1:1 to 5:4 (20% devaluation) effective March 1, 2026. Capital One also reducing Emirates transfers from 1:1 to 1:0.75 (25% devaluation) effective January 13, 2026. These changes significantly reduce outsized value for premium redemptions.
