Flying Blue Splits Awards Into Three Fares

Starting September 8, 2026, Flying Blue awards on Air France and KLM flights split into Light, Standard and Flex. Business class to Europe runs 60,000 miles for Light, 75,000 for Standard and 110,000 for Flex. Light drops lounge access, changes and refunds. Flying Blue is a transfer partner of Amex, Chase, Citi, Capital One, Bilt and U.S. Bank, so the change reaches most transferable points balances.

Capital One Rewrites Discover it Terms

Capital One is emailing Discover it cardholders a change-in-terms notice ahead of the October 19, 2026 move to the Capital One app and website. New account terms take effect October 16: a revised minimum payment formula, a new Prime Rate read date, rewards no longer counting toward the minimum payment, and Discover Identity Alerts shutting down in favor of CreditWise. Card numbers, rewards rates, and the no annual fee stay the same.

Discover Student Cards Move October 19

Capital One emailed Discover it Student cardholders on August 2, 2026 that their accounts move to the Capital One website and app on October 19, 2026. Card numbers, APRs, the no annual fee structure, the 5 percent rotating categories, and existing rewards balances all carry over, and the card stays on the Discover network.

Capital One Venture Adds $100 Stays Credit

Capital One is emailing Venture cardholders that the $95 card now carries an annual $100 credit for hotel and vacation rental bookings through Capital One Travel. The credit renews on the cardholder anniversary date and needs no enrollment. Capital One has not published the change, and it has not reached every cardholder yet.

Discover Cards Move to Capital One July 27

Discover credit card accounts start moving to Capital One's website and app on July 27, 2026, with the migration running in waves through 2026 and early 2027. Rewards rates, rewards balances, the 5% rotating categories, APRs, and credit limits stay the same, and the move is not reported as a new account. Authorized users get new card numbers, rewards can no longer be applied to minimum payments, and the gift card redemption minimum rises to $25.
