Venture Rewards is the straightforward version of a travel card: 2x miles on everything, a $95 annual fee, and no foreign transaction fee, so you don't have to think about categories. The welcome offer is the strongest reason to apply right now at 75,000 miles after $4,000 in three months, plus a $250 travel credit in your first cardholder year, which more than covers the fee up front. Ongoing perks are modest but real: up to $120 toward Global Entry or TSA PreCheck every four years, a $50 experience credit on Lifestyle Collection stays, and half off handcrafted drinks at Capital One Cafés. Be careful with the two 5x rates, since both require Capital One's own channels: hotels and rental cars booked through the travel portal, and tickets bought specifically on the Capital One Entertainment platform, which excludes ordinary entertainment spending and Capital One Dining.
