AAdvantage Executive Fee Rises to $695

American Airlines, Citi and Mastercard announced on August 3, 2026 that the Citi AAdvantage Executive Mastercard moves to a $695 annual fee on August 23, up from $595. The card adds up to $500 back on American Airlines Vacations, up to $100 back on inflight and Admirals Club purchases, $180 in annual Lyft credits, and 12X miles on AAdvantage Hotels and Cars bookings.

Citi and Mastercard are running three Curated Table events this fall for Citi Strata Elite cardmembers: New York on September 9, Austin on October 21, and Miami on December 2. Tickets start at $100 and sell first come, first served.

Amex Adds Leading Hotels Transfer Partner

American Express added Leaders Club, the loyalty program of Leading Hotels of the World, as a Membership Rewards transfer partner on July 28, 2026. Points move at 4:1, so 1,000 Membership Rewards points become 250 Leaders Club points. Citi ThankYou transfers to the same program at 5:1.

Citi Custom Cash Closed to New Applications (Confirmed)

**Confirmed May 28, 2026** — Citi has stopped accepting applications for the **Citi Custom Cash® Card**. The Citi product page now reads: *"Not Available... Citi is no longer accepting applications for the Citi Custom Cash® Card product as of May 28, 2026."* Existing cardmembers are unaffected and can continue using their cards. Citi is directing new applicants to the **Citi Double Cash® Card**. The closure landed roughly 48 hours after r/CreditCards rumors first surfaced.
