IHG One Rewards Premier

The IHG One Rewards Premier justifies its $99 fee mainly through the anniversary free night at properties costing up to 40,000 points, plus automatic Platinum Elite status and a 4th reward night free on points stays. The current signup bonus is 140,000 points after $3,000 in three months, good enough for #5 on our Best Credit Card Signup Bonuses list, though it ran as high as 185,000 in June before being cut back in July, so the timing is worth watching. Earning is built around the chain itself: 10x at IHG hotels, stacking up to 26x once loyalty earning is included, then 5x on travel, gas, and dining and a genuinely strong 3x on everything else. The recurring credits are real but scattered and mostly require enrollment, including up to $50 a year in United TravelBank Cash, $10 a month in Instacart credit, and up to $120 for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck every four years. If you stay at IHG properties even a couple of times a year the free night tends to cover the fee on its own; if you don't, the rest isn't enough of a reason to keep it.
