Lounge access is what you are paying $650 for: 15 Delta Sky Club visits per Medallion Year when flying Delta, unlimited visits once you spend $75,000 in a calendar year, plus Centurion Lounge access when the Delta flight is booked with the card. The companion certificate is the other pillar, issued annually after renewal with no spend requirement and usable in Delta First, Premium Select, Comfort, or Main on round-trips within the U.S. and to Mexico, the Caribbean, or Central America. The welcome offer climbed to 125,000 miles in June and dropped back to 100,000 after $5,000 of spend in six months in mid-July, and it is an up-to figure rather than a guarantee. Be clear about the earning, though, because it is the card's real weakness: 3 miles per dollar on Delta purchases and a flat 1 mile on absolutely everything else, so this is not a card for daily spend. Frequent Delta flyers chasing Medallion status get the most from it, helped by the $2,500 MQD headstart and $1 in MQDs per $10 spent, while the $240 Resy, $200 Delta Stays, and $120 rideshare credits only reduce the fee if you were already spending in those places.
