The annual companion certificate is the broadest in the Delta lineup, valid in Delta First, Premium Select, Comfort, or Main on round trips within the U.S. and to Mexico, the Caribbean, or Central America, with no spend requirement. Against the $650 annual fee sit $240 in annual Resy credits, $200 in Delta Stays credit, $120 in rideshare credits, a $2,500 MQD headstart, and MQD Boost at $1 per $10 spent, which is the strongest status accelerator here. Two warnings: earning is bare, with 3x only on Delta purchases and 1x on everything else, and the welcome offer has fallen hard, cut in late August to two round-trip Delta Comfort certificates plus 50,000 miles after $10,000 in six months, down from 100,000 miles and from 125,000 earlier in the summer. Justify this card on the lounge access, the companion certificate, and Medallion progress, not on the miles you earn from it.
