The Traveler is the low-commitment way into IHG One Rewards: 80,000 points after $2,000 in three months, automatic Silver Elite status, and a 4th night free when you redeem points for four consecutive nights at the same hotel, all with no annual fee. The earn rates hold up for a free card, with 5x at IHG hotels (up to 17x once loyalty earning is included), 3x in a combined bucket covering dining, gas, utilities, and select streaming, and 2x on everything else. Watch the bonus timing, though: the offer climbed to 125,000 points in June and was trimmed to 80,000 in July, so this is a weaker window than the card recently showed. The ongoing perks skew small, with a $10 monthly Instacart credit, a DashPass membership, and 10,000 anniversary points that only arrive after $10,000 of annual spend. It's an easy card to keep precisely because it costs nothing, but it only earns a place in your wallet if you genuinely stay with IHG.
