United Club Infinite

The Club Infinite's $695 annual fee is essentially the price of a United Club membership for the primary cardholder, bundled with two free checked bags and Premier Access priority at the airport. Around that, the card is built to hold frequent United flyers: 5x miles on United purchases, 1,500 Premier qualifying points a year plus 1 PQP for every $15 spent up to 28,000, a 10,000-mile award flight discount after $20,000 in purchases, and credits worth up to $200 on prepaid Renowned Hotels stays, $240 with Instacart, $200 toward JSX, $150 in rideshare, $100 at Avis or Budget, and Global Entry or TSA PreCheck every four years. Chase cut the welcome offer from 100,000 to 80,000 miles after $5,000 in three months back in May, so you are buying in at a weaker moment than earlier this year. Outside 2x on dining and travel, everything else earns 1x, which makes it a poor home for general spending. We rank it #13 among airline cards with a best premium tag, and the honest test is simple: if you wouldn't otherwise pay for club access, the fee is hard to justify.
