Southwest Rapid Rewards Priority

The Priority is the Southwest card for people who actually fly the airline several times a year: 4x points on Southwest purchases, a $75 annual Southwest travel credit, 7,500 anniversary points, and a 10,000-point Companion Pass qualifying boost, which together offset a real chunk of the $229 annual fee before you count a free first checked bag worth up to $90 round trip. Extra Legroom and Preferred seat access when available are the practical day-of-travel perks. The current 60,000-point bonus after $2,000 in three months is the weaker end of the recent range, since Chase pushed it to 90,000 in late May and cut it back on July 3. Outside Southwest the earn rates are ordinary, 2x on gas and dining and 1x on everything else, so this works as a dedicated airline card rather than a daily driver. We rank it #4 among airline cards and flag it as the best premium option there, but the math only holds if the travel credit and anniversary points get used every single year.
