At $499 a year this is JetBlue's premium card, and the math starts with up to $300 in annual TrueBlue Travel statement credits plus a $120 Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit every four years, which take a real bite out of the fee before anything else counts. Lounge access is the true differentiator: complimentary BlueHouse entry on eligible fares and Priority Pass at more than 1,800 lounges, on top of free checked bags for you and up to three companions and a 15% points rebate on award flights. The 100,000 point bonus after $5,000 in three months is the largest of the JetBlue lineup by a wide margin. Where it gets demanding is the companion pass credits, up to $500 after $15,000 of purchases and up to $1,500 more after $75,000, which is where a lot of the advertised value quietly sits. Earning is still 6x on JetBlue and TrueBlue Travel and just 1x on most other purchases, so unless you fly the airline often enough to use the lounges and burn the credits, the $99 Plus covers the same essentials for a fifth of the price.
