The 75,000 Avios welcome offer after $5,000 in three months is the main reason to open this card, and at a $95 annual fee with no foreign transaction fees it is a reasonable one to keep for transatlantic travel. Ongoing earning is narrow: the 3x rate applies only to British Airways, Aer Lingus, and Iberia flights, hotels booked directly earn 2x, and everything else is a flat 1x, so this is not a card for daily spend. What partly offsets that is the reward flight statement credits, up to three a year worth $100 on Economy or Premium Economy and $200 on Business or First, which take the sting out of the taxes and carrier charges on Avios reward bookings. The Travel Together Ticket is the headline perk but requires $30,000 of spend in a calendar year, a bar most cardholders will not clear while earning 1x. There is also no intro APR here, and the regular rate runs 19.24% to 27.74%. It ranks #5 on our airline card list, and it earns that spot only if you actually fly British Airways.
