Ongoing earning is narrow, though: 3x applies only to Aer Lingus, British Airways, and Iberia flights, 2x to hotels booked directly, and everything else earns a flat 1x, which is thin for a card you are paying for annually. The companion ticket is the one benefit that can justify renewal, but it requires $30,000 of spending in a calendar year, a bar most cardholders will not reach without deliberately routing spend here. Priority boarding on US to Ireland flights, 10% off Aer Lingus flights to Europe booked through the cardmember site, and DashPass when activated by the end of 2027 round it out. Worth it if you actually fly Aer Lingus; otherwise take the bonus and reassess at renewal.
