The weakness is that 1.5% is a middling flat rate, so this card only makes sense if you value never thinking about categories more than you value the extra return a tiered card would produce. The foreign transaction fee is another reason to leave it home on international trips. Reasonable as a catch-all backup, hard to defend as your only card.
