Our take
The Split's one real trick is its financing structure: any purchase of $100 or more can be paid off over three months with no interest and no fees, on a card that charges no annual fee. If you regularly make mid-sized purchases you'd rather spread out, that's a cleaner deal than carrying a balance at a standard APR, and it requires no enrollment. The catch is that the card earns nothing: there are no cash back or points categories at all, so it gives you no reason to reach for it once a purchase is paid off. It also charges foreign transaction fees, which rules it out for travel. Think of it as a budgeting tool for occasional larger buys rather than a card you put daily spending on.
