The $1,000 signup bonus is generous, but earning it requires $10,000 in spending in the first 3 months. The real tradeoff is the $195 annual fee, which a no-fee flat-rate card avoids entirely, so this card makes sense mostly if large single transactions push you into the 2.5% tier often. Cell phone protection, purchase protection, extended warranty, primary rental car coverage for business rentals, and free employee cards round out the package, and there is no foreign transaction fee. There is no intro APR offer, so plan to pay in full.
