Capital One Replaces Spark Miles With Venture Business, 150,000-Mile Bonus
Capital One has retired the Spark Miles for Business and launched the Capital One Venture Business in its place, effective April 14, 2026. The smaller Spark Miles Select has been renamed to VentureOne Business with no change in terms.
What's new on the Venture Business
- 150,000-mile welcome bonus: 75,000 miles after $7,500 in the first 3 months, plus another 75,000 miles after $30,000 in 6 months.
- $50 annual Capital One Business Travel credit (new).
- Up to $50 annual software and advertising credit (new).
- Up to $120 Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit every four years.
What stayed the same
- $95 annual fee — same as the old Spark Miles for Business, but the first-year waiver is gone.
- 2x miles on every purchase, with 5x on hotels, vacation rentals, and rental cars booked through Capital One Business Travel.
- Free employee cards.
VentureOne Business (formerly Spark Miles Select)
The no-annual-fee sibling keeps the same structure: 1.5x miles on every purchase and a 50,000-mile welcome bonus after $4,500 in spend. Capital One didn't add new benefits on this one — the change is effectively a rename.
Who benefits
Existing Spark Miles cardholders stay on the Spark Miles product — they need to apply for the Venture Business to pick up the new credits. The 150k bonus is a meaningful step up: the old Spark Miles bonus topped out lower and required a bigger spend hurdle, so this rebrand is the better entry point for most new business-card applicants in Capital One's lineup.
